History

Who We Are

Founded in 1983,  the Fremont Union High Schools Foundation is an independent, non-profit, public-benefit corporation serving Cupertino, Fremont, Homestead, Lynbrook and Monta Vista High Schools. We are the primary fundraising organization for the school district. We are governed by a Board of Directors comprised of parents, staff and community members. We are advocates of public education who work closely with the Fremont Union High School District to ensure that high quality programs and services are maintained for all students. We are proud of the accomplishments of our students and staff and want to be sure that changing economic times do not negatively impact our wonderful schools.

Why We Are Here

Although a free public-school education is guaranteed by the State of California, rising costs and tightening budgets are making it increasingly difficult for our schools to operate on public funding alone. The Foundation is committed to maintaining and building upon our schools’ tradition of educational excellence. We are partners with our parents, business communities and alumni to raise funds to support a variety of curricula and programs at school sites.
