Do you know what you should NEVER post on the Internet?

Parents and students, join the Homestead PTSA in the Homestead i-Hub and listen to Deputy District Attorney Alvarado talk about laws and the consequences of sharing inappropriate content as well as how colleges, coaches, and employers use students’ online activity.

Angela Alvarado, Santa Clara County District Attorney, Com­munity ProsecutorExpert in Internet Safety, Juvenile Law & Truancy will share with students and parents how to be safe on the internet and what you should NEVER post. Some of the topics covered will be:

  • Social media activity, reality check, and dangers.
  • “Digital reputation” and how it will affect college admissions, job opportunities, etc. 
  • Consequences & laws in legislation around sending, sharing, snapping, and receiving inappropriate texts/pictures as well as engaging in public forums and more
